I've been a working photographer for 16 years now - and like any other passion, it must be infused with a certain newness every now and again.
I love what I do, I love the technicalities of creating a great photograph, but sometimes it's nice to allow the technical side of my brain to take a vacation...and that's just what I found when I stepped into the magical world of pinhole photography.
Granted there are plenty of technicalities to know in order to craft a great pinhole image, but there's something more magical, more special about the pinhole adventure. You can expose correctly and do all the "right" things, but the final image is always a surprise. And that's what I love about it.
Over the last few weeks I've been experimenting with the pinhole, and I am so pleased with the results. They are otherworldly, dreamy representations of reality. Which, in essence, is why I create art or photographs in the first place. Enjoy!
